How do you make your video game sound like a polished form of entertainment that everyone simply MUST play?  You add a dash of Patrick Stewart, that’s how!

Battlestar Galactica

Battlestar Galactica

Science Fiction has had a rough go of it lately.  The “bar” that determines popular TV and Cinema is truly driven by profits and the folks with the money to invest in those projects seem to be getting more and more gun-shy about spending that money each year.  SciFi, or SyFy as they are about to be called, is one of the worst offenders.  What started as a great idea for a network television station has turned into a breeding ground for spectacularly shitty “creature-of-the-week” drivel peppered with very few notable exceptions.

Oh My…

Steve Wozniak on Dancing with the Stars

Dear Steve Wozniak:

I understand that you’ve recently dated Kathy Griffin…or…um…didn’t…depending on what article you read.  However, this does not give you license to whore yourself out to absolutely EVERYTHING!  For God’s sake, man!  Show a little respect for human kind!

For those that don’t know, Steve Wozniak…beloved Apple Geek and all-around admired regular Geek…is going to be participating in this year’s “Dancing with the Stars”.  /sigh  Hopefully he’s supporting a really great charity.

On a side note, Denise Richards is also participating.  Her picture is to the left.  Hmm…perhaps I’ll have to watch.  I likey Denise Richards.  :D

Mitt’s Top 10

I can’t say enough about Mitt Romney.  I believe he was the best Republican candidate in the 2008 Presidential Primary.  I also, whole-heartedly, believe he was the ONLY candidate on either side that had the skills and experience necessary to lead our country out of our current economic crisis.  My hope is that he will run again in 2012.
